伊豆諸島(Izu islands)

1. 式根島(Shikinejima island)

東京竹芝から高速船で3時間で行ける式根島。

(大型船だと10時間だけどちょっと安く行ける)

It takes 3 hours from Tokyo Takeshiba pier to Shikinejima island by the high-speed ships. (It takes 10 hours by the large ships, but it is cheaper than by the high-speed ships!)

島の面積は大きくなく、1日あれば充分満喫できる広さ。坂道が多いので、電動自転車かレンタカーを借りた方が良い。

It is not that large, so you need about 1 day to enjoy this place! There are a lot of slopes,so you should rent electric bicycles or cars.

2. 新島(Niijima island)

東京竹芝から高速船で2時間30分で、大型船で8時間30分で行ける新島。

It takes 2 and a half hours from Tokyo Takeshiba pier to Shikinejima island by the high-speed ships and  8 and a half hours by the large ships.

式根島との連絡船もあり、10分程度で行き来できちゃう。

You can pass between Niijima and Shikine jima by the ferryboat for only 10 minutes!

島内はたくさん石像があって、渋谷のモヤイ像はここで作成されたとか。

There are a lot of stone statues. It has been said that the Moai statue at the Shibuya station was made there.

特にレンタカーも電動自転車も借りず、歩いて上まで行こうとしたものの、きつすぎた！笑 レンタカーか電動自転車必須です。

It was very hard to go uphill on foot. You should rent cars or electric bicycles!

夜はとっても星空が綺麗💫

黄色い建物が泊まらせていただいた民泊、サンフラワーさん。素敵な女将さん、アットホームな雰囲気、美味しいご飯、お部屋も綺麗でとても満足でした！

The starry sky was so beautiful!

The yellow house in this photo was "Sea flower Seihou" where I stayed at. The owner was kind and the food and the room was great!
